Matthew grew up in Wilkes County and attended Wilkesboro Elementary, Central Wilkes Middle School & Wilkes Early College High School. Then onto the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Development & Entrepreneurship.
